AboutVera Viglina lives and works in St.Petersburg, Russia. She started making large sculptures for open year in 2005. Before that she used to work with small forms, even miniatures. She makes her sculptures of grogged clay and uses the method that was used by ancient potters before the potter's wheel was invented.She is pretty obviosly influenced by such greats as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Eric Stamford others of that calibre. She is undoubtedly an artist to collect now, before the serious buyers find her. |
